Meet The Coach: Megan

If you're reading this post, chances are you already know who I am or have met me at some point in the recent past. Nevertheless, here I am writing a meet the coach blog. This is because we've recently had a second coach come aboard the team - but he'll introduce himself in a separate post.

Now, for those of you who aren't too familiar with me and what I do, I'm Megan. I'm a 26 year old strength and conditioning coach, personal trainer, boxing instructor and mum of one. I've been competing in powerlifting for around 2 years now and am in love with the sport.

I'm currently working from a private facility (thanks, 'rona) but usually I work from Olympic Gym in Eccles, Greater Manchester, providing 1-2-1 strength training sessions for my lovely clients. I also run boxing classes for a local community centre aimed at empowering women and giving them the confidence and abilities to defend themselves in unsavoury situations.

Both of these jobs I find highly rewarding, and I love having the ability to balance my work life with my home life without finding it too difficult to fit family time in.

My goals for this year included qualifying for the IPF British Championships and making my GPC-GB debut at No-Dumbelles over the summer, but I suppose both of those things are on the back burner for now!

Longer term goals include wanting to open my own private strength and conditioning specialist facility for aspiring athletes to train and hone their abilities, as well as expanding my online reach and maybe building an apparel line in the future. Exciting, I know!

I'm the person who responds to all enquiries and chat messages sent via the website (not a robot) so feel free to get in touch any time you need something, or to discuss training options!

Hope to see you soon!
