I'd been holding off on writing another blog post as my emotions have been a bit all over the place. 2020 was an absolute rollercoaster of a year and I'd hoped that with the announcement of covid vaccinations and after 9 months of isolating and lockdowns and tier changes, we might be onto steadier ground.
As it stands, this coming year is looking to be just as turbulent as the last as we continue to proceed with uncertainty and a severe lack of confidence in our government's handling of the situation. With that said, all is not lost. There are still things we can do to maintain our mental and physical health in the meantime.
I'm not going to tell you I'm grateful for lockdown or I loved doing bodyweight workouts from home, because that would be a lie. But that doesn't mean you can't make the most of your bodyweight exercises while that is all that's available. It doesn't mean we can't take this time to get our nutrition in check and to find new ways to challenge ourselves.
I know that I'm speaking from a place of great advantage; having access to our own gym and being able to continue my training, but know that I understand how difficult all of this is and how much it can impact our mental health. I want you to know that you can reach out to us with any concerns or difficulties you may be having. We're here to help.
On a brighter note, we're putting things in place to create a safe training space for people of all ages, abilities and disciplines and we hope for that to be ready and available before Summer 2021, covid allowing, so that is something for us all to look forward to.
We at Indomitable can't wait to open our doors once again, to see our clients and members grow and gain, and to be able to function at some level of normality again.
We miss you, and we hope to see you all soon.
Megan.
