Half way through, half dead.

Long story short; Massthetics 3.0 is not for everyone.

I decided to follow this program with the hopes of pumping up my numbers on all three lifts before I start competition prep, and while my numbers are going up on bench and deadlift, my squat isn’t really seeing any improvement. When diving into this Full Power program I didn’t realise that I’d only be squatting once a week, while deadlifts and bench are hit twice a week; one day of each being sets of AMRAPa.

In honesty, I’m finding that the higher volume of this program is exhausting. My Thursday morning (the only day of the week that squats are programmed in) takes so much longer than usual and I am super fatigued throughout, though that could be down to the heat also.

It’s not all bad though, I’m feeling a lot stronger (which was the whole point), it’s just a shame it’s only in my bench and deadlift. My back and shoulders have more noticeable definition and my legs are definitely looking more muscular than before so I can live with the temporary deficit in squats.

Three weeks to go, I’m looking forward to seeing how this program further changes my physique, especially with next week reintroducing squats twice a week, I really can’t wait to squat more regularly again!
