So, it's been quite a while since the government imposed lockdown restrictions on the nation, and everyone has been finding exciting, inventive (and sometimes dangerous) ways to train while the gyms have been closed.
For most people, none of the training that they've been doing during this time has been conducive to their long term goals but that's not important right now; what's important is staying active and healthy, both physically and mentally.
For you, that could've meant doing calisthenics every day, or running outdoors, or just a nice walk in the sunshine, and all of these are great ways to keep active while having little to no access to exercise equipment, and keeping your mood up during these tough few months.
Now we're looking at the start of reopening the economy; hair salons, tattoo studios and other such businesses are beginning to open and accept bookings, but the gyms are yet to be given a formal opening date or clear instruction as to when they will be allowed to reopen their doors. This means we're seeing a huge influx of (government sanctioned) outdoor training on a 1:1 basis or group training of up to 6 attendees, which is great if you forget about the great British weather.
As such, I will be opening the doors to a private facility for 1:1 training (still adhering to gov guidelines) on a limited basis for the meantime while we wait for the gyms to be given the green light to open to the public. All precautions are being taken to ensure a clean and sanitary training environment for anyone attending as well as myself (of course) and it gets us all one step closer back to normality.
Hopefully this time off has given us all a chance to rest and recover, and regardless of how long it is before we're back in the gym, we'll be coming back stronger and happier, and preferably with some better habits!
So no matter what you've been doing during your time away from training, and no matter how long it is until gyms are given the green light to open again, keep going, keep doing your best and get ready to smash all of your goals for 2020 no matter what stands in your way!
